TRUE STORY

Qainat Hanif

Blind. Disabled. Protected with Dignity.

Qainat Hanif was born blind and mentally disabled. When her parents were alive, she lived a simple but peaceful life under their loving care.

Her father, a vegetable stall owner, worked hard to provide for the family. Though life was modest, it was filled with love and security.

At the age of 13, tragedy struck. Her father passed away due to a heart attack. Soon after, her mother tragically lost her life in a fire incident. Qainat’s world collapsed overnight.

She was left alone with her two brothers. One brother was also disabled, and the elder brother struggled to continue their father’s vegetable stall.

One day, while her elder brother was away, evil neighbors entered their house and attacked Qainat, destroying her dignity.

Her brother was heartbroken and helpless. Their family belonged to the Kuttyana Memon Jamat community, which stepped forward to protect her and ensure her safety.

The community referred Qainat to Aaghosh Home. When she arrived, her body carried multiple scratch marks from the assault.

A New Beginning

Madam Shagufta Saba, Founder and President of Aaghosh Trust, immediately admitted her, provided shelter, and embraced her with motherly care.

Today, Qainat lives safely and respectfully at Aaghosh Home. She lovingly calls Madam Shagufta Saba “Ammi Jaan”.

Qainat is now doing Hifz-ul-Quran and learning Islamic teachings. When she first arrived, she did not even know Kalima Tauheed. Today, she is memorizing the Holy Quran — MashaAllah.
